Let’s Build a Safe, Modern Home for 28 Vulnerable Children
Goal: $60,000 to purchase land, provide clean water, install solar energy,
and build a permanent, modern home with indoor plumbing.
The storm has left its mark. Ssengooba House lies in ruins.
We’ve always known that the children at Ssengooba House needed a permanent, safe home. We had been planning to purchase land and build a modern house for them. But with this storm, the urgency has never been clearer.
The storm completely destroyed their shelter. The fragile mud brick walls collapsed under heavy rains and winds, leaving nothing behind but rubble. Now, 28 vulnerable children are scattered—some temporarily staying with local families, while the youngest are in a borrowed building with their trusted caregivers, Miss Millie and Madam Florence.
This tragedy has made it clear: we need to act now to rebuild—not just any home, but a safe, modern one that can stand the test of time.
Why This Matters:
The storm has shown us how vulnerable Ssengooba House was and how urgently these children need a proper home. A house with indoor plumbing and a modern kitchen isn’t just about convenience—it’s about dignity, safety, and health. This home will give these children a foundation for a brighter future and protect them from further harm.
How You Can Help:
Every dollar brings us closer to making this vision a reality. Your support can give these children the safe, modern haven they so desperately need. Please donate today and share this campaign with your friends and family.
Thank You:
Your kindness will forever change the lives of these children. Together, we can turn this tragedy into a story of hope, resilience, and renewal.
