Despite his difficult beginnings, Diego has blossomed into a cheerful, energetic little boy who never fails to bring a smile to everyone around him. He’s the youngest at the foundation but insists on trying to keep up with the bigger kids, who adore giving him attention. His contagious laughter and playful nature have made him a beloved member of our community.
Diego loves simple joys: playing with the older children, sharing a meal of rice and beans, and savoring his favorite treat—watermelon. But his bright future depends on people like you.

Meet Paul Kiwanuka- Future Aviator
Paul Kiwanuka is a bright, kind-hearted 7-year-old boy who has been with the Ssengooba House for one year. Originally from the Wakiso District, Paul’s early life was marked by neglect and abandonment. He was left on the streets by unknown persons, where he was found by our co-founder, Yasin Kalibala. At the time, Paul was on the verge of losing hope, but by developing trust with love and care, we were able to bring him to the Ssengooba House—a place he now calls home.
Paul dreams of becoming a pilot one day, inspired by his passion for science and learning. He is an excellent student, excelling in school and serving as a role model to his younger siblings at Ssengooba House. Paul loves playing football (soccer) and often spends his free time enjoying the outdoors with his family. He enjoys being a big brother to the younger children.
One of Paul’s favorite things is sharing meals with the Ssengooba House family, where he feels safe, loved, and supported. He loves beans and rice and melon very much.
This Christmas, Paul dreams of receiving a new football to play with—something that would bring him immense joy.

When Shadrach was three years old, the Baganda Tribal Chief personally brought him to the Ssengooba Foundation, recognizing the urgent need for care and support. This gesture of compassion ensured Shadrach could find safety and hope in the loving environment of the Foundation.
Despite his hardships, Shadrach finds comfort in drawing cartoons and shows great promise as a budding artist. His dream is to become a teacher, inspired by his desire to give back to his community. However, Shadrach faces significant barriers, including difficulty reading, and urgently needs resources to support his growth and education.
